LON Crew Getting it Done…

Progress on High Yellow 56…

7 October 2019: Another work day at Girl Gang Garage and the Ladies Offroad Network crew got a lot accomplished. We got the engine and transmission in place, and the truck was almost ready for the next step, when we hit a snag while bleeding the brake lines. It was around 11pm when we called it a night, and High Yellow 56 will be ready for the unveiling at SEMA on schedule. Can’t wait to see the final result …

LON Takes Over Girl Gang Garage…

Working on a SEMA build…

6 October 2019: Got to work with the crew from Ladies Offroad Netwok for the “takeover” at Girl Gang Garage, where we were volunteering to help with this year’s SEMA build of High Yellow 56. We walked in to an empty frame, as the old truck had been taken apart and we were being tasked with putting it back together — but with some brand new custom parts. Day one we got the suspension and brake lines installed and prepped the enging and transmission for installation…

On the Trail with the Rough Riders…

Trail Dust Days with the Tucson Rough Riders…

5 October 2019: Joined in for a day of fun in the hills around Catalina State Park with the Tucson Rough Riders during their annual Trail Dust Days event. Was a great chance to catch up with a good friend and get to explore a different part of Arizona …

A Calmer Desert Pace …

Appreciating the desert’s beauty …

4 October 2019: Within the city limits of Phoenix, but there are nods to the desert and a different pace of living. Early morning the air is still cool. A hummingbird flits around a flowering bush, so small it could be mistaken for a large insect. A pause to appreciate the outdoors …

Back to the Southwest…

Desert and palm trees…

3 October 2019: Arrived to Phoenix, sun and palm trees, for the start of a few weeks of intense activity and a bit of adventure here in the southwest…

The goal is to empower women and provide them the tools to redefine their identities and ultimately breakdown the barriers that have limited their access or awareness to the many career opportunities within the trades. Girl Gang Garage is more than a physical location it is a living breathing network of women, ranging from novices to industry veterans all coming together with the singular goal of growing stronger together and developing new opportunities for the next generation…
